Breakthrough Culture Award Winner 2024!

Aker remains determinedly a remote first company, balancing the sometimes competing imperatives of the classified Government environments we work in, the working culture we constantly strive to maintain and improve, and the shifting sands of best practice as companies like ours continue to adapt to preferred working patterns post the pandemic. We are constantly looking to improve how we balance these imperatives, and so we are absolutely delighted to be selected as a winner of the Breakthrough Culture Award 2024!

These awards recognise and celebrate the greatest companies to work for in the UK, honouring the companies large and small for their commitments to building a progressive, people-first workplace, and recognising those who are passionate about creating a thriving workplace from an early stage.

The Breakthrough Culture team assessed thousands of companies of all sizes, and the finalists were put before a panel including the likes of Google, Accenture, Patagonia, and Atlassian. Particular emphasis was placed on those organisations who could show commitment and forward thinking to often generically applied ‘People First’ concepts.

The award process focusses on highlighting the most influential companies and cultures around the world, and provides a creative forum for workplace innovation for the HR and Talent community. As we strive to continue to learn and improve we are absolutely delighted to be part of that!
