Darren Thomas

Darren has held senior European and Global leadership roles in sales, marketing, general management and strategic alliances during his 25 year career in the technology industry. Darren has developed a track record of successfully leading large business and sales organisations through transformations, while simultaneously scaling and driving significant revenue growth at companies such as Hewlett Packard and Sungard Availability Services. He is a co-founder of Aker Systems and has also successfully co-founded, grown and exited one further start up business. 

Career highlights include being the General Manager responsible for significantly scaling a global technology division with a geographically diverse team of over 450 people with an annual revenue of £4.3 billion. He has also led a team to win a new £640 million seven year contract with a global telecoms provider, and been Senior Vice President of a global sales team delivering over £210 million of consulting, managed IT and disaster recovery as a services (DRaaS).
